Capital Communiqué
Spring & Summer 2009
As the awe-inspring spring and summer seasons gradually awaken the sleeping beauty of the Pacific Northwest, the flower blooms and sunshine are accompanies with an increased weakening of economic conditions. It is no secret that we have moved far enough along into an economic descend in the Portland Metropolitan area that taking defense against its unquestionable impace and airing on the side of caution is realistically necessary. Capital Property Management is putting it's best foot forward in doing our part to help people work through the inherent hard times from an unbending recession. While we understand that the adversities at hand may not cure modestly, we stand by the attitude that every penny saved is after all a penny earned.
As such, effective immediately we are waiving the move-in fees as to lessen the financial burden associated with moving in to our properties. Also, our standard lease break fee of two times the rent amount for lease holders has been reduced to one and a half times the rent amount. Further to this, if you are able to provide written proof of a job loss, our company will waive the penalty fee entirely. Screening fees will carry on as $40 per applicant; however this cost will now be applied to your first month's rent!
To conclude, we would like to offer some friendly tips on how to cut back on basic living costs:
-
Don't eat out regularly; it becomes costly to dine away from your own kitchen table.
-
Spend more time outdoors - with favoring weather and the lengthening days, it is more convenient to partake in outdoor activities which in turn keep utility bills on the dip.
-
Make lists - in doing so, you are less likely to impulse buy during trips to the grocery store.
-
Drink filtered water instead of bottled water, this is cost effective and eco friendly too!
-
Make your own coffee - daily lattes add up quickly, and no matter how delicious, a fresh brewed pot from home can be equally as satisfying.
As always, we appreciate that you have chosen to make your home with one of the Capital properties. From us all... a big Thank You!
Sincerely,
Capital Property Management Services, Inc.
